Sports Afternoon for Boys

1. Objective

To foster unity and fellowship among the men of the congregation through sports and healthy competition, integrating Christian values such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership.


2. Date, Time and Place

Date: (Choose a Saturday or Sunday for greater availability).

Hora: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Location: Soccer field, park, sports center or an open space with enough area for games.


3. Guests

All the men of the congregation.

Friends and family invited (it can be an evangelistic opportunity).

Possible teams from other churches to promote fellowship.


4. Sports Afternoon Program

📌 2:00 pm – Welcome and opening prayer 🙏

  • A brief reflection on the importance of fellowship and unity in Christ.
  • The rules are presented and the teams are organized.


📌 2:20 pm – First round of games and competitions 🏆

The participants are divided into teams for the different sports and activities.

Suggested games:

  • Soccer / Volleyball / Basketball (depending on venue availability).
  • Relay race (reinforcing teamwork).
  • Strength games: "The sack challenge" or "Resistance rope".


📌 4:00 pm – Break and refreshments 🍉

  • Hydration and light snacks.
  • A time for camaraderie and interaction.


📌 4:30 pm – Final competitions and challenges 🎯

  • Finals of the organized tournaments.
  • Additional games such as "penalty shootouts with prize" or "obstacle course".


📌 5:30 pm – Final reflection and awards ceremony 🏅

  • A short message about the importance of being men of God in every aspect, even in competition.
  • A small token of appreciation is given to outstanding teams.


📌 6:00 pm – Closing with prayer and farewell 🙌

5. Organization and Responsibilities

General Coordinator: Oversees the entire event.

Sports Officer: Defines the games and regulates the competitions.

Moderator: Explains the rules and motivates the participants.

Refreshment Team: Responsible for hydration and food.

First aid kit: To deal with any unforeseen event.


6. Resources and Budget

Sports equipment: Balls, nets, cones, whistles.

Snacks: Fruits, water, juices, energy bars.

Prizes: Symbolic medals or participation certificates.

Portable sound system: To liven up the day with Christian music.
